Volunteering, Freelance staff, Internships, FSJ (Voluntary Social Year)
Exercise instructors

In order to offer a diverse range of courses, we need many volunteers. Some of them work for us on a voluntary basis or on a fee basis. We agree together from semester to semester which courses they would like to offer.
We are also keen to bring new sports to Greifswald. So if you would like to offer a sports course with us, just give us a call.
For all water sports, please send a short application email to Ms Wessler at wassersportuni-greifswaldde.
Further information can be found here.
We look forward to hearing from you and your ideas and suggestions for a strong programme at Greifswald University Sports!
By the way:
We generally refer to our trainers as ‘Übungsleitende’ (exercise instructors), in accordance with the Income Tax Act, as this is where the tax allowances for this activity are regulated (§ 3 EStG No. 26 and 26a [de]). You can find a good overview of tax allowances and regulations [de] at Haufe.
Internships and FSJ (Voluntary Social Year)

As the largest sports provider in Greifswald and the surrounding area, we naturally have a wide range of tasks. In addition to running courses, these include planning and organising tournaments and other sporting events. Advertising through various channels, legal and financial issues and sports facility management are also part of our work.
We would therefore be delighted if you would like to support us as part of an internship or a voluntary social year.
Without helpers, our wide range of affordable services would not be possible.
You can find information about the voluntary social year at the German Sports Youth website.
For an internship, we would draw up an internship contract with you, in which we would agree on your tasks.
